Scott SAMUEL
English Law Consultant
Scott is an English qualified solicitor who specialises in banking and finance and energy and infrastructure projects and was previously a finance partner in an international law firm in London. He has wide ranging commercial experience and has advised sponsors, governments, lenders and multilateral agencies on a number of complex financings, restructurings and international projects, particularly in emerging and transforming markets. He has also advised principal investors and private equity fund managers on acquisitions and disposals of investments in the oil and gas, mining, real estate, infrastructure and technology sectors.
Scott provides English law consultancy to Durukan + Partners, non-exclusively.
Eda KOMURCU ORHONLU
Of Counsel
Eda contributes to Durukan + Partners’ practice on mainly regulatory compliance, litigation, employment and immigration law, intellectual and industrial property as well as corporate and commercial law matters. During her career, she has advised numerous notable international and domestic clients. Being based in Ankara, Eda facilitates services to clients and connections with governmental and regulatory authorities, in Turkey’s capital.
She is also a trademark attorney and has over ten years of experience in all areas of trademark law, including prosecution, licensing, oppositions and litigation.
Eda previously worked in one of the recognised law firms in Turkey.
Murathan OZAYDIN
Of Counsel
Murathan contributes to Durukan + Partners’ practice on litigation matters. He is admitted to Istanbul Bar Association. Prior to private law firm practice, he has worked as in-house counsel in various leading companies in Turkey in sectors of liability insurance, maritime trade, foreign trade, telecoms, mining, fuel oil distribution and logistics.
He has now been working as an external litigation lawyer for more than 6 years. He specializes in commercial disputes and cooperates with Durukan + Partners in litigation matters relating to corporate and commercial matters.
Derya KUCUKKESKIN
Of Counsel
Derya acts as a Litigation Specialist for Durukan + Partners. She has worked at the Istanbul commercial courts for more than 20 years where she served as a clerk and head of clerks’ office, giving her great knowledge of court procedures. She then completed her law degree and was admitted to Istanbul Bar Association as an attorney-at-law.
She currently acts as a litigation lawyer in corporate and commercial disputes, execution and bankruptcy, employment, cooperatives, banking and finance, insurance matters and civil law issues. She assists Durukan + Partners in litigation matters in all fields of corporate and commercial law.
